The 6th Annual ART BASH
will be at
D Gallery, 3558 Navajo Street in Denver

This year, we are asking our artist contributors to donate an existing work of art rather than create a new piece using materials that we distribute. We felt that this may allow more artists to participate without the expectation of having to create a new piece of work specifically for this event. Additionally, we are asking all artists to place a dollar value on their donation. This amount will be the “Buy it Now” price. The bidding on your piece will START at ½ of the “Buy it Now” price. If we are not able to get this minimum bid by the end of the Art Bash evening, we will return your piece of art to you.
We will also GLADLY accept donations of other art-related items for the Silent Auction including art supplies and gift certificates, as well as business donations of food and beverages for the receptions.
Schedule of events
March 1, 2012
Deadline to submit an image of the work that you wish to donate. Please include a short paragraph about yourself, gallery affiliations, and your website. We are planning on producing a catalog of the exhibition as well as posting it on our website.
April 23 – 28
Drop off work at D Gallery, Accelerated Schools, or mail it to Royal Contemporary at 120 E. Main St. Florence, CO 81226.
May 4
First Friday, 7-9 pm. Opening night for the public. There are 5 other galleries in the Navajo Street Art District and they as a group generate large crowds and terrific exposure for the works of art that you so generously contribute to this annual event.
May 18
The ART BASH Silent Auction event highlights works from a diverse group of local, national, and international artists. This will be in our traditional format, in which those works that have not yet reached the “Buy it Now” purchase price may be bid up in the “last chance” auction by those in attendance. This is an evening to reconnect with friends, food, fun, and ART.
People may also bid on works in person at D Gallery or on our website May 4 through 18. All proceeds benefit the Phillip J Steele Arts Education Foundation.
Many thanks in advance for your generous donation! Our goal is to encourage, mentor, and support students throughout the visual arts community with your help.
